Washington Family to Family Health Information Center
Washington Family to Family serves families who have children and youth with special health care needs age birth to 26 years. We provide individual information on supporting your child in the health care system and refer you to resources that are available in Washington State that provide information on health care.
Who Are children with Special Health Care Needs?
Children with special healthcare needs are those children who have or are at risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional conditions and who also require health and related services of a type of amount beyond that required by children generally.
Family Voices of Washington
Family Voices values family-centered care for all children and youth with special health care needs and/or disabilities. Through our national network, we provide families tools to make informed decisions, advocate for improved public and private policies, build partnerships among professionals and families, and serve as a trusted resource on health care.
Our Mission
Family Voices is a national organization and grassroots network of families and friends of children and youth with special health care needs and disabilities that promotes partnership with families–including those of cultural, linguistic and geographic diversity–in order to improve healthcare services and policies for children.

About Pave
PAVE Partnerships for Action, Voices for Empowerment, was established in 1979. PAVE assists families, individuals with disabilities, professionals and others whose lives are linked to address the various needs of the individual from birth through adulthood. Though a variety of programs and services PAVE provides support, assistance, training, information, and referrals.
PAVE programs are funded through a variety of Federal, State, County and private grants and contracts. We could not exist without support and contributions made from the community. Your tax-deductible gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. Our tax ID number is 91-1106684.

Services Provided
Support:
The majority of Pave employees and volunteers are family members of children and adults with disabilities. We understand the emotions involved and the challenges ahead. You will find empathetic, one-to-one support when you need it.
Training:
We provide training workshops, training and tutorial videos, informational packets, and connect parents with appropriate support groups. Our goal is to connect families with the correct resources to be your child’s best supporter.
Referral: PAVE’s diverse team can assist you in finding resource, organizations and specialists in your community to support you and your child or adult with a disability.
PAVE can:
- Help you understand systems of care for children of all ages with physical, cognitive, sensory, or developmental disabilities.
- Assist you to find services in your community for your family and your child or adult with a disability.
- Provide support when you learn that your child has a disability or chronic health care need.
- Help you as your child with special needs transitions through all stages from birth to adult life.
